On a cold wet day Myfanwy Thomas awakens in a London park surrounded by a ring of dead bodies. Her memory is gone and the only clue to her identity is a letter in her pocket from her former self. Myfanwy is a Rook, an operative for the mysterious Chequy organization.

Starts a little slow, but ends strong. I really liked it. I was hoping he would leave more of an opening for a sequel; would definitely read another of his books.

I really liked it and thought it was well plotted and found myself hoping that the heroine would succeed. I would wish for more of the same type of story from this author.
